We are pleased to provide participants free coffee, tea, and complimentary small snacks during coffee breaks. You can find the beverage stations by the coffee symbol on the exhibition plans (J01 and J02). During lunch breaks, you are welcome to visit one of the Industry Lunch symposia, where the companies offer complimentary lunch bags.

CME certification

For CME certification (15 points), all attendees must scan their badges at the terminals located in the entrance/ registration area of building J01. Please note that you must certify once a day.

Certification is not possible outside the times indicated above. The certificate of attendance will be sent by e-mail after the Congress and will not be available onsite.

Conference Bag & Cloakroom

The cloakroom and collecting your conference bag are located within the Registration area in Building J01 during the following opening times:

COVID-19 Protection Measures

Due to the constantly high numbers of SARS-CoV-2 infections and to provide conditions as safe as possible during our Congress, the organisers have imposed the following procedures:

  1. Face masks are mandatory within the premisses of the Congress at the MHH – Medizinische Hochschule Hannover. Medical or masks of the standards FFP2, KN95 or N95 covers are to be worn during the entire Congress.
  2. A valid proof of vaccination in the form of an EU vaccination certificate and a recovered status must be presented when entering the event.

Please note that the vaccination or recovered status will be checked on-site at the entrance/ registration area.

Departure

The Medizinische Hochschule Hannover (Medical Highschool Hannover) is located only 20 minutes away from the city center of hannover.

The easiest way to get to the MMH is using Hannover’s city rail (üstra):

Way to the Joint Meeting from Hannover central station: Walk from the main station to the Kröpcke station (400 Meters). Take line 4 in the direction of “Hannover Roderbruch”. Get off at “Medizinische Hochschule” (medical school).

Media library
All registered participants will receive their login data to the platform via email. Please use the bottom Media library to log in. The platform will be available for a duration of 3 months

Networking

The Joint meeting offers various possibilities to make new contacts and to meet old colleagues. Highlights of the gathering are the Networking Reception on September 7, after the Congress Opening, and the Immu-Night on Friday, September 9.

Parking

The MHH parking lot is located not far from the two building complexes J01, J02 in which the congress will take place. The address is as follows: Hannover Medical School, Karl-Wiechert-Allee 530625 Hannover, Germany (Germany).

The following parking fees apply:

45 Minuten: free of charge
46 – 60 Minutes : 1,10 EUR
Every additional hour: 1,10 EUR, maximum 10,00 EUR/ Day.

Pocket Program

When picking up your conference bag, get all the information you need to be ready for your conference at the registration counter. The Pocket Program includes Floor plans, an Overview of the scientific program, a Poster topic overview and Schedules & information about the Industry Exhibition.

Poster Sessions

All poster presenters are asked to place their poster in the area assigned to your topic at their session presentation.

Prizes & Awards

Besides exciting scientific topics, we look forward to honoring scientific achievements. On the very first day, we will start by awarding the DGfI German Immunology Prize 2022 to Prof. Dr. Özlem Türeci, Prof. Dr. med. Uğur Şahin and Prof. Dr. Katalin Karikó, and Prof. Dr. Thomas Boehm for 2020, as well as our various Ph.D., MD, and Postdoc awards. Two EFIS IL Lecture Awards of the European Federation of Immunological Societies will be given to Prof. Dr. Emma Slack (Switzerland) and Prof. Dr. Oscar Palomares (Spain) as outstanding European immunologists. Both awardees will give a presentation during the Plenary Session “Microbiome and Metabolism” on Friday, September 9, 13:30 – 15:00.

In special in memoriam sessions on Friday and Saturday, we will also honor the outstanding contribution of our two former presidents, Prof. Dr. Jochen R. Kalden.
Another highlight will be the prizes for our Young Immunologists, such as travel awards for the best speakers in workshop sessions, sponsored by the American Association of Immunologists (AAI) and best poster presenters in the five poster sessions, which will be announced at the Closing Ceremony on Saturday, September 10th!

Registration fees

The fees entitle you to participate in the scientific program with access to the industrial exhibition and the media library. Coffee, Tea, and snacks, such as the participation at the Conference Networking Reception on Wednesday, September 7, are also included in the registration fees,

All speakers are requested to upload their presentations exclusively via the Speaker Centre at J01/Level 1/Kurslabor 25. Please submit your presentation here in good time.
