Given the ongoing uncertainty of the COVID 19 pandemic and the experience with ‘all virtual conferences’ in the past year, the joint meeting of our societies will be organized as a hybrid conference. We will physically convene in the Hannover Medical School (MHH) and enable virtual participation from hopefully around the world.

We aim to offer the best scientific education in both worlds by live streaming all plenary, main and President’s symposia and by recording all workshops and industry related sessions. All recordings as well as the scientific posters will be available online after the conference on demand until December 31, 2022.

The conference will start on September 7th and will last till September 10th 2022. We try to account for different time zones globally, by scheduling the plenary events in the late morning and early afternoon CET – the most convenient solution for people hailing from other time zones.

Specific meetings, workshops and the networking functions will take place after the scientific program of the conference.

The opening of the joint meeting, starting with the Welcome Message followed by the traditional Symposium of the DGfI Young Immunologists and the President’s Symposium, will take place on Wednesday September 7th 2022 in the early afternoon CET.

Further details and updates will be provided continuously.

The scientific program provides 4 days of content of basic and translational immunology in context of various diseases including allergy, autoimmunity, cancer transplantation and infections, of course with special attention to COVID-19.

An application will be made to the Lower Saxony State Medical Association (Landesärztekammer Niedersachsen) for CME accreditation.

As with any conferences, there will be plenty of opportunities to exchange experiences and debate ideas! The presentation of research projects is an integral part of any conference and will, of course, be a part of this joint meeting. In this context, every participant will have the chance to:

  • Enjoy a 4 day conference gathering national and international key opinion leaders together with expected 1,000 researchers, clinical scientists and clinicians, all unified by a strong interest in basic immunology and immune-driven diseases.
  • High quality content-driven agenda with sessions and workshops
  • Continuous hands-on program during the conference
  • Pleasure to meet and to have fun together thanks to the planned networking events

We look forward to learn about innovation in the exciting field of immunology and rewarding the outstanding work with the distinction of the best form of the year!
Dive into the stimulating program with lectures and activities lead by experts in the field and take advantage of the multidisciplinary professionals brought together to your screen, to enhance your knowledge!

If you cannot be with us live in Hannover, there is the possibility to register for the digital part of the conference only. The registration fee will include:

– Participation in the plenary and main Sessions and President’s symposium via live stream
– On-demand scientific program including the scientific posters and recordings of the workshops and industry sessions. The on-demand offer is available until December 31, 2022.

It will be asked, if the Lower Saxony State Medical Association (Landesärztekammer Niedersachsen) will consider awarding continuing education points for participation in the live stream.
